Every day there are reports of child abductions and teenage runaways in the United States.
ABDUCTIONS: The majority of attempted abductions involves a would-be offender trying to lure a child into a car or a secluded area. What makes the abduction so concerning is the severity of the assault that the victims and their families will have to struggle to come to terms with for many years to come. It is a well Known fact that some of the most recent, tragic, and high profile abductions of children in the United States have been committed by one of the parents or persons known to them. Parental abduction is on the rise in the United States. Parents will go to extremes to have their children by their side despite what court orders dictate.
RUNAWAYS: In the case of a runaway child or teenager time is of the essence to start the locating process. The search needs to commence as soon as the person is thought to be missing. Once the runaway is on their own, reality sets in, and they realize it takes a lot more than mind-set to find food, shelter, and the ability to survive financially. This is when others step in and take advantage of the runaway making it harder and sometimes almost impossible to locate the person.
